Takeshi Sudo studied viola da gamba with Wieland Kuijken, Philippe Pierlot and Rainer Zipperling in Royal Conservatory of The Hague. In The Hague, he studied also chamber music with many musicians such as Sebastian Marq, Ton Koopman, Barthold Kuijken.
He performs and records with many ensembles and orchestras in Europe and Japan including "The Spirit of Gambo (Freek Borstlap)", "Residentie Bach Ensemble (Jos Vermunt)", "Combattiment consort Amsterdam (Jan Willem de Vriend)", "Vlaams Radio Koor (Erik van Nevel)", "Nederland Bach Orchestra (Pieter Jan Leusink)" etc. Also his wide interest of art led him successful collaborations with Dutch poet Anna Enquist (Leiden University/Poet in residence) and Polish actor Jerzy Zelnik.
His interest in contemporary music has resulted in many premieres of new pieces, some written for him. In 2005, he got honourable mention in solist section of competition "Musica-antiqua Brugge". He is also editing unpublished viola da gamba repatoires. In 2006, he established his own publication "Dionysus Edition".

Israel Castillo was born in Mexico City, in a family of Zapotec origins of the Ithsmus of Tehuantepec. After studying Double bass with Nicola Popov he decided to specialize in the viola dagamba. He began his studies with the gambist Gabriela Villa-Walls and flutist MariaDiez-Canedo in the UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico). In 2001 He entered the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague. He studied then with Anneke Pols, Wieland Kuijken and Philippe Pierlot.
He has participated in groups under the direction of renown musicians like: Michael Chance, Joseph Cabre, Mike Fentross, Patrick Ayrton, Christina Pluhar and Rainer Zipperling. Together with harpsichordist Miguel Cicero he embarked in to a research of the improvisation in Mexican popular music and its similarities with
seventeenth century Italian music. He made several concerts together with the extraordinary group Son de Madera directed by Ramon Gutierrez-Hernandez, and was later invited to participate in the CD " Las Orquestas deDia" by the same group. He also participated in the recording of "la Rappresentatione de Anima e di corpo" by Cavallieri with "La Arpeggiatta"directed by Christina Pluhar. Presenting the material in the Festival VanVlandereen and Oude Muziek Festival in the Benelux.
Israel is regularly invited to participate in the Passion season playing the solo gamba in the arias of the Mathew and Johannes passion by Bach. In 2008 he performed duo recitals with his teacher Wieland Kuijken. He has participated in several occasions together with gambist Takeshi Sudo whose duo has received the applause of the public for many years.
