Born in Jerusalem, Israel, Reut Shabi began her singing life at the age of 8. A graduate of the Jerusalem Music Academy, she is now specializing in Early Music at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. She is the Student of Rita Dams, Jill Feldman, Michael Chance and Peter Kooij. Reut has a wide stage experience, and has sung as soloist in repertoire spanning from the baroque (Handel's Dixit dominus and "This is the day" Anthem) to classical (Mozart's Kronungs Messe and Schumann's Requiem) to contemporary (works by Zvi Avni, Chayim Alexander, Karel Salomon). Shabi has been cast to sing in many opera productions. She has been broadcast on National Radio singing varying repertoire such as contemporary music by composer Matti Kovler, as well as lieder by Mendelssohn. She has recently performed with Contrasto Armonico Baroque Orchestra in the oratorio La Resurrezione by G.F.Handel (Angelo), directed by Marco Vitale. During the events of the Handel Jahr, she will sing the role of Nerone in Agrippina at the Royal Conservatoire. In June 2009 she has performed at the Festival Classique in the Hague, in a production of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas with Collegium Musicum Den Haag (Belinda/ second woman).
Since recently graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, David Greco
has been engaged as soloist with Australia's finest musical ensembles. He recently made his debut with both the Australian Chamber Orchestra, under Richard Tognetti in Mozart's Mass in C minor, and the Sydney Symphony as Perichaud (La Rondine), under Gianluigi Guilmetti. David appears regularly with Pinchgut Opera, having sung Pastore and Spirito in Monteverdi's L'Orfeo, Un Phrygian in Rameau's Dardanus, and Trojano in Mozart's Idomeneo. David has an avid love of art song and in August last year presented Schubert's Die Schöne Müllerin for the Sydney Schubert Society. He was also a finalist in the last Mietta Art Song Recital Award in Melbourne. He has recorded with the ABC classics label as well as being featured on many live ABC radio broadcasts as soloist with such ensembles as the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs and most recently with the Austrailian Brandenburg Orchestra in their season of Handel's Dixit Dominus. In 2008 David was a full time member of the Opera Australia Chorus. He is presently undertaking studies with Peter Kooij at the Royal Conservatoire, Den Haag.
The Royal Windplayers are a group of musicians specializing in Harmoniemusik on original classical instruments. The group started more than two years ago with the aim of performing the great wind octet repertoire, with their first performance featuring the Mozart Serenade K.375. Since then The Royal Windplayers have evolved and broadened their repertoire to include arrangements of the period such as those of the great Beethoven symphonic works as well as original arrangements made for the group. They are performing throughout the Netherlands, and have been heard recently at the Cum Laude Festival in Leiden, the Leusder Salland Series in Wijhe, the Winter Concert Series at the Witte Kerk in Heiloo, frequently in the Afternoon Lunch Concert Series at the Christus Triumfatorkerk, and in the various concert halls of the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag.
