Having studied cello for several years in her home town music school Agnieszka Oszanca moved to Krakow, where she has studied under the guidance of Jacek Kociuban. As a result of her chamber music experiences developed a keen interest in the subject of authenticity in musical performance. The decision to study early music in The Netherlands followed shortly. She completed her Masters Degree at Utrecht Conservatorium in baroque cello class of Viola de Hoog in the summer 2008. In autumn 2009 she will start a postgraduate studies her education under Marco Frezzato in Cesena (IT).
Finalist of several competitions such as Bach Competition in Zielona Gora (PL), International Young Artists Presentation in Antwerp and Academia Palatina in Mannheim.
Active soloist as well as chamber and orchestral musician, member of Musica Poetica, Pramea Ensemble, Trio Ryu-Oszanca-Lievonen, ensemble La Chromosfera. Regularly invited to perform in a Fringe of Utrecht Early Music Festival, Brzezice Festival in Slovenia and similar events around Europe. Founder and an artistic director of Sterren Oude Muziek series and Sterrenfestival in Utrecht.
She collaborated with Schonbrunn Ensemble on the recording of Mozart flute concertos for the Globe label. With Pramea Esemble recorded two CDs featuring rare and unpublished preclassical flute trios.
Agnieszka devotes herself to research of improvisation techniques of the first cellists including chordal realisation of basso continuo on cello.
Agnieszka plays the cello made by Benoit Fleury in Paris in 1763.
