Mariana Pimenta was born in Madeira Island, Portugal, in 1987.
She concluded her bachelor in singing and Master in Music Education at the University of Aveiro, with the singing teachers António Salgado, Joaquina Ly and Filipa Lã. Recently Mariana finished her Master in Early Music Singing at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague having as a result the highest mark cum laude. Here she studied with the singing teachers Jill Feldman, Maria Acda-Maas, Michael Chance and Peter Kooij.
She works as a soloist, singing mainly oratorio from composers such Händel, Zelenka, Hasse, Fauré. Mariana also performs in recitals with piano, where she sings songs and opera arias. Recently she sang with the Classic Orquestra of Madeira famous opera arias from XIX and XX century.
Mariana also works as an ensemble singer. She is a frelance member of the Radio choir of The Netherlands, with whom she sings at the Concertgebouw. She also works with the ensemble Música Temprana, directed by Adrián van der Spoel, dedicated especially to the early music of Latin America, with whom Mariana recorded their last CD: "Missa Criolla". She is also part of the ensemble Dieci Voci, directed by Michael Chance, and worked with the Vocal Ensemble, directed by Vasco Negreiros, singing renaissance polyphony.

Mariana has been working in various countries such as Portugal, The Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Germany and Ecuador.

Leonardo Valiante, geboren in Montevideo, Uruguay, begon zijn studie aan de muziekschool Virgilio Scarabelli. In 1989 behaalde hij zijn diploma pianoleraar aan het FalleriBalzo Conservatorium, waarna hij bij Nelly Langone de Trocolli een postgraduate cursus volgde.Hierna begon hij zijn studie klavecimbel bij Eduardo Gilardoni en Carlos Levin aan het Anglo Instituut. Gedurende zijn studie volgde hij ook klavecimbel masterclasses bij Jose Gonzalez Uriol, Rosana Lanzelote en Yves Rechsteiner. Na het behalen van klavecimbel diploma A speelde hij met het orkest van Sodre o.l.v. dirigent Roberto Montenegro. In 1996 werd hij toegelaten tot het Koninklijk Conservatorium te De Haag en vervolgde zijn klavecimbelstudie bij Jacques Ogg. Een tweejarige studie hedendaagse muziek bij Annelie de Man aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam is in 2002 afgerond. In 2001 heeft hij o.l.v. Erik Klas het Noord Symfonie Orkest begeleid in de Vredenburgzaal te Utrecht. Hij begeleidt vanaf 2000 als pianist/organist het koor VocAnimo o.l.v. Loek Ruijters. Ook begeleidt hij het Iriskoor in Warmond en het Dameskoor in Oegstgeest o.l.v. Marinus Links. Hij heeft talrijke optredens in binnen- en buitenland op zijn naam staan.

Het barokensemble onder leiding van Leonardo Valiante treedt op in de Emmauskerk aan de Leyweg met Highlights uit Opera Ottone van G. F. Händel op zondag 18 oktober 2015 om 15.00 uur.
