Informatie over de uitvoerende(n)

Amandine Menuge started her cello studies at the age of 4 at the Conservatory of Abbeville (France). After joining the School Orchestra of Meru (Oise, France), she entered the National Conservatory of Rouen in the class of Nathalie Ruget. She has performed in France, Belgium, Ireland, England, Romania, The Netherlands, Germany and Spain with among others: Elisabeth Joyé, Pavel Amilcar, Jorge Lopez Escribano, Jaap Schröder and Bruno Cocset and in projects under the direction of great musicians as Frederick Haas, Guy Van was, Kenneth Montgomery and Hervé Niquet. Amandine has studied cello at the early music department of Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Belgium) with Hervé Douchy.

Xiangji Zeng, violinist, was born in Beijing. She finished her bachelor study of law at Beijing Institute of Technology, and then went to Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing, with a major in violin with Gongqi Zhu and musicology with Yaping Yao, completing her master with research in Schubert and his contemporary sonata form. Inspired by a recording of Bach's sonatas and partitas for solo violin, played by Dutch baroque violinist, Lucy van Dael, Xiangji has studied baroque violin with Lucy at Koninklijk Conservatorium of The Hague.

Leonardo Valiante, Montevideo, Uruguay, studeerde aan de muziekschool Virgilio Scarabelli en slaagde In 1989 als pianoleraar aan het Falleri Balzo Conservatorium, waarna hij bij Nelly Langone de Trocolli een postgraduate cursus volgde. Vervolgde zijn studie klavecimbel bij Eduardo Gilardoni en Carlos Levin aan het Anglo Instituut, behaalde klavecimbel diploma A. Tussentijds volgde hij masterclasses klavecimbel bij José González Uriol, Rosana Lanzelote, Yves Rechsteiner en Mahan Esfahani. Daarna speelde hij met SODRE Orkest o.l.v. Roberto Montenegro. In 1996 volgde toelating tot het Kon. Conservatorium Den Haag voor klavecimbelstudie bij Jacques Ogg. Een tweejarige studie hedendaagse muziek bij Annelie de Man aan het Conserv. van Amsterdam is in 2002 afgerond.

Hij treedt op met barokensembles en voert hiermee vaak delen uit van opera’s zoals: Ottone en Orlando van Händel maar ook Die Schöpfung van J. Haydn. Ook begleidt hij koren en orkesten.

James Hewitt read music at Girton College, Cambridge, and continued his studies at  the Royal Conservatoire, The Hague: baroque violin with Pavlo Beznosiuk, and composition with Martijn Padding, Cornelis de Bondt and Guus Janssen. He completed his masters there with research in improvised counterpoint.

He is active in both early and contemporary music, and becoming well known for his engaging personal style and improvisatory  prowess.

He performs throughout Europe, both solo and in ensembles including Contrasto Armonico, the Northern Consort, the Yiddish Baroque project Simkhat Hanefesh, and the Scroll Ensemble, which specialises in programmes inspired by improvisatory practices of the baroque, featured in the Leipzig Improvisation Festival, and finalist in York International Early Music Festival 2015.
